Editing Many Employees at Once
Sometimes you need to make the same change to lots of employees — for example, moving a group to a new department, or updating a setting for everyone in a branch. Bulk Edit lets you do this in one go instead of opening each record separately.
Steps
- In the menu, click Employee → Bulk Edit.
- Select the employees you want to change. You can usually filter by branch or department to narrow the list first, then tick the ones you want.
- Choose the detail you want to update and enter its new value.
- Review your selection carefully.
- Click Save to apply the change to everyone you selected.
warning
Bulk changes affect many people at once and can be hard to undo. Always check that you have selected the right employees and the right new value before you save.
tip
If you are unsure, try the change on a small group first (for example, one department). Once you are happy it worked correctly, apply it to the rest.
When to use Bulk Edit
- Moving a team to a new department or branch.
- Updating a common setting after a company change.
- Correcting the same mistake across several records.
For one-off changes to a single person, it is simpler to open that employee from the Employee List and edit them directly.
