Finding Your Way Around

When you log in, you land on the Dashboard. The screen is split into a few simple parts.

The main parts of the screen

  • The menu (left side) — your list of features, such as Employees, Payroll and Reports. Click a heading to open it; some headings expand to show more options underneath.
  • The top bar — has the menu button (to hide or show the left menu), the search box, and your profile menu on the right.
  • The main area (centre) — where the page you chose is shown.

Your profile menu

Click your name or photo at the top-right to open the profile menu. From here you can open Account (your own settings) and Log Out.

The menu at a glance

The menu groups everything by what it is for:

Searching

To find something quickly, use the search box at the top of the page (or press Ctrl + K, or ⌘ K on a Mac). Start typing the name of a page or feature and the system will suggest matches. Click a suggestion to go straight there.

Tables and lists

Most pages show information in a table (rows and columns). On these pages you can usually:

  • Search for a particular row using the box above the table.
  • Sort the rows by clicking a column heading.
  • Choose which columns to show or hide.
  • Open a row by clicking it to see or edit the full details.
