Switching Between Companies
Some users handle payroll for more than one company. AI Payroll keeps each company's information completely separate, so you always work on one company at a time.
Working in one company at a time
You are always signed in to one company at a time, and everything you see — the dashboard, employees, payroll and reports — belongs to that company. When you switch to another company, the whole screen updates to show that company's information.
If your administrator deactivates your access to the company you are currently in, the system shows an Access Deactivated message that offers to switch to another company you belong to (or to log out). Choose the company you want and you are taken straight into it.
Always confirm which company you are in before you make changes or run payroll. It is easy to start working in the wrong company by mistake.
Why this matters
Each company has its own:
- Employees and their salaries
- Payroll history and payslips
- Leave, claims and attendance records
- Settings and rates
Changes you make only affect the company you are currently in. Nothing you do "leaks" into another company.
If you only belong to one company, there is nothing to switch between, and you can ignore this page.
