Public Holidays

The Public Holiday list tells the system which days are official holidays. This matters because holidays affect leave (a staff member should not lose annual leave for a public holiday) and can affect attendance and overtime.

To open it, click Leave → Public Holiday in the menu.

Adding holidays

  1. Click Leave → Public Holiday.
  2. Add a holiday by giving it a name and a date.
  3. Save.

You can also import a list of holidays for the whole year at once, instead of adding them one by one. Look for the Import Holidays option on the page.

Viewing the year

The page can show a calendar view so you can see all the holidays for the year at a glance. This makes it easy to spot anything missing.

tip

Set up the new year's public holidays in advance — ideally before January. This keeps leave balances and attendance accurate from the first day of the year.

Holidays can differ by state or region. Make sure the list matches the location of your staff. If you have branches in different states, check that each one's holidays are covered.
