Activity History (Audit Log)
The Audit Log is a record of important actions taken in the system — who did what, and when. It is useful for checking changes, answering questions, and for audits.
Open it from Settings → Audit Log in the menu.
What it shows
Each entry usually tells you:
- Who did it — the user's name.
- What they did — for example, changed an employee or ran payroll.
- When it happened — the date and time.
How to use it
- Search and filter to find a particular action, user or date.
- Use it to check a change — for example, if a salary looks different from what you expected, you can see who changed it and when.
- Use it to answer questions during an audit or review.
tip
If something in payroll looks unexpected, the Audit Log is the first place to look. It often shows exactly what changed and who made the change.
note
The Audit Log is a view-only record — you can look at it, but you cannot change it. That is what makes it trustworthy as a history.
